The mask, reimagined through color, between memory and interpretation
I extract the mask from its ritual function to shift it into a mental space. Permeated by color, it becomes a shifting presence, poised between appearance and disappearance. Between memory and reinvention, the mask persists as a contemporary enigma.
To give oneself flowers, to put strong perfumes in them,
to remember without giving up, to offer oneself flowers to always believe.
To immerse oneself once again in the paintings of Jacques Majorelle,
at the gates of Bou Saf Saf
In balance, a memory of suspended things
Timeless fragments of a Moroccan period
Passion or reason?
Passion drives, reason structures. One creates movement, the other meaning. Without passion, life fades; without reason, it is lost.
